Descriptive research method was used in this study which determined the level of environmental awareness of Education students of Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba, AY 2009-2010. In this study, a 30-item researcher-made test was utilized. Also, a scale was used to determine the environmental awareness based on the transmuted grades of the respondents who were chosen through total enumeration technique.
Results showed that the overall level of environmental awareness of the education students in terms of gender, year level, and majored subjects (English, Mathematics, or Preschool) were all “Very Low.” This indicates that environmental awareness was not part of their learning; therefore, the environmental awareness of these students should be enhanced in their science program by integrating environmental awareness on biodiversity, climate change, sustainable development, pollution, and flight of the indigenous people.
