Abstract:

This study aimed to develop a student recorder with the use of radio frequency identification in order to record the time of entry of student in the campus. Integration of RFID into the student's ID, walk through metal detector, and web camera are used to interact with the system. Developmental process was initiated to develop the system. Testing and evaluation have been made to observe its operations. The developed software can capture and record the ID number, serial number, name, course, college, log date, log time, image file, and entry type. Moreover, the developed software can capture the image of the student and visitor who enter the school premises. Recommendations to use another database software will be a good topic of the future researchers. Furthermore, the student respondents suggested proper implementation by the assigned guards specifically in the tapping of the ID. From the display of the information, the guards will be able to recognize if the holder of the ID is the legitimate owner of the same.
