Abstract:

A descriptive type of study was conducted to determine the features of the school that made initial impressions to the new enrollees. A total of 397 new enrollees answered the survey form which is the main tool for data collection. Profile information were also gathered. There are a total of 23 features of the school that was evaluated grouped in five categories: facilities, academic features, value of money, parents’ influence, and peer’s influence. The data gathered were summarized, tabulated and analyzed. Facts and information were presented in frequency tables and descriptive statistics using the mean and standard deviation. The study reveals that the school facilities create a first impression of a school. Academic features, influence of peers and parents are additional factors of importance to new enrollees. The value of money is also considered but the least compared to other factors. First impressions always create a picture in the minds of first time lookers.
