The pressing issue of global warming led to evaluate the CET building of MSEUF with emphasis on the application of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). The CET building was assessed according to the different criteria such as sustainable sites, energy and atmosphere, material and resources, indoor environmental quality and water efficiency. Based on the assessment, the CET building did not pass the LEED rating system. The necessary improvements were identified especially on the issue of energy and atmosphere which is very vital in the assessment which led to the design of the CET building to be considered as Green Building.
