Salvation History

Clarencia P. Eddio

Abstract:

Module 1 is the foundation of the four modules of Religious Education in the Colegio. It presents lessons on Salvation History and supplementary lesson on Mary and the Rosary, and the life of St. Dominic De Guzman. Salvation History is comprised of the salvific acts of God from how these acts of God continuously exist today until their consummation on the second coming of Christ.

The lessons are designed to help students gain doctrinal knowledge, and experience, express their faith through activities, and display commitment to become witnesses of salvation in their own context. The doctrines presented are based on the official teachings of the Church found in Catechism books such as the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), and Catechism for Filipino Catholics (CFC), documents of the second Vatican Council (Vat. II), among many others.

Students will also get familiar with reading and praying the Word of God in the Bible as it is the main source of all lessons in this module.
