Abstract:

This study aimed to design a light switch monitoring system. This system had an automatic shut-off capability that would limit the hours of the light to turn on. It could also set a schedule for the light to be turned on. Any light turned on in an invalid manner was automatically turned off by the system.

Experimental development and descriptive approaches were the methods used. Purposively chosen evaluators were requested to assess the functionality of the system.

Findings revealed that the design was effective for conserving energy since it lessened the time consumed by not turning off the light.
