LEVEL OF COMPLIANCE OF NURSES IN THE NURSERY ON HANDWASHING IN SELECTED GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE HOSPITALS IN LAGUNA

Abstract:

The study aimed to determine the factors that can affect the level of compliance of nurses in the nursery on handwashing in selected government and private hospitals in Laguna; to assess their level of compliance on handwashing; and, to determine the significant difference between the level of compliance on handwashing among nurses in the selected government and private hospitals in Laguna. Results showed that there are five common factors that affect the level of compliance of nurses in the nursery on handwashing in the government hospitals while there are three in the private hospitals. It was also found out that all the hospitals have similar level of compliance on handwashing. In general, there is no significant difference on the level of compliance on handwashing between the selected government and private hospitals in Laguna.
