Abstract:

This research study aimed to develop a device that will remind people in the school of the current date and prompt them of the time every hour, the time every end of the period and the warning 5 minutes before the bell rings. The device includes a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), Microcontroller, Keypad, Speaker, Real Time Clock Chip (RTC), Amplifier, Chime, and Text-to-Speech Synthesizer. The features of the device were evaluated according to its efficiency and effectiveness. The investigation sought to answer the following questions: What are the features of the Automatic School Bell System with Speech Synthesis Alarm; what is the level of functionality and reliability of the Automatic School Bell System with Speech Synthesis Alarm specifically, its Keypad, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), Speed Synthesizer and its Bell and Chime. After a series of test and evaluation, the researchers concluded that the device is effective reliable. Nevertheless, certain factors still need to be considered in order for the device to function almost perfectly.
