Abstract:

The study described the live experiences of selected third year nursing students of Letran Calamba. It also aimed to find out how they handled their most significant experiences in assisting normal spontaneous delivery. The study utilized qualitative design and was participated by12 co-researchers. Face to face interview using guide questions was used to gather data which were transcribed and analyzed by dividing them into categorical units. Findings revealed that the selected nursing students experienced pleasant and unpleasant emotions before, during, and after their live experiences in assisting normal spontaneous delivery (NSD). Also, they were able to gain knowledge and insights from their experiences and people they interacted with. Assisting in NSD was not easy but the respondents still managed to be in the situation. They considered it a success and achievement as their knowledge was enhanced by their experiences.
