The competencies of a student are developed in school when the teacher was able to provide opportunities for these to develop. Each teaching strategy develops certain abilities among students. This study investigates on the effects of the implementation of the modeling method in teaching the students of PH 2Y1-1 of the application of the concepts of General College Physics to drug preparation. Relevant data for this research were gathered through interviews and pre-test and post-test assessments of the subjects. At the end of the research, the proponent of the study pinpointed the misalignment of the current implementation of the modeling method to the target competencies of the students. Thus, proposals were formulated for improvement of the current teaching of applications to the students of the institution. This contextualizes a practical teaching methodology to aid the students achieve what is expected of them. Thus, lack of facilities and materials of an institution should not prevent an educator in providing efficient learning opportunities to the students.
