Gem Spotter Game using Accelerometer for Android Gingerbread

Abstract:

This study used an application that provide entertainment and leisure to the users. The researchers chose android OS platform because it is widely used in the industry and they gathered data through survey questionnaire.

 

Based from the survey, the proposed system is much preferred by the respondents. In terms of functionality, the proposed system has a weighted mean of 3.53 which is interpreted as excellent. In terms of speed, the proposed system has a weighted mean of 3.57 which is interpreted as excellent. In terms of usability, the proposed system has a weighted mean of 3.63 which is interpreted as excellent. In terms of accuracy, the proposed system has a weighted mean of 3.73 which is interpreted as excellent. The overall computed mean is 3.62 which is interpreted as excellent.

 

The researchers concluded that there was a significant difference between the existing and the proposed system. The objectives of the study were met accordingly.

 

The future researchers could continue this study by improving the game compatibility to other Android OS phones and tablets with larger screen resolutions.
