Abstract:

This study was conducted based on the fact that most students have low performance in the examinations in the math and physics subjects.  The focus of this study was to determine the factors that could affect students’ performance in the departmental examinations.

This study used the descriptive-correlation design of research and documentary analysis.  In this study, descriptive research was used to analyze the documents gathered and compare the same with students’ performance. Correlation was used to further support the descriptive analysis and determine if any relationship exists between the variables.
