This is a study on the development of competency standards of Filipino teachers in the tertiary level.
Twenty experts in Filipino language from different colleges and universities were the respondents of this study.
The descriptive method of research was used in this study. The instrument used was a questionnaire, which was developed by the researchers. The questionnaires were then distributed to the experts to solicit responses. The distribution was conducted in two rounds to determine the competencies for the development of the competency standards for the Filipino teachers in the tertiary level.
To attain the objectives of the study, weighted mean and ranking were used as statistical treatments.
