Teaching Moral Theology in College

Raul A. Unson

Discipline: Education, Religion

Abstract:

A close 'scrutiny of the objectives of De La Salle College will show that the God-oriented and socially- conscious gentleman is identical to the true Christian mentioned by Pius XI. The lion's share however, in the formation of the Christian gentleman rests on the shoulders of the members of the Religion Department, not only because of the paramount importance of the influence exerted by the members of the Religion Department on every student from his first to his last year at De La Salle but because of the very nature of religious education, especially moral education.
