FREEDOM IN RIZAL’S PREFERENTIAL DEATH: AN INQUIRY USING STEINER’S MORAL IMAGINATION

Abstract:

 

In the year 1861, two persons were born, one in the west in February, the other in the east in June. The thought of the Western man sheds light on the deed of the eastern man. The notion of moral imagination of the Austrian philosopher, Rudolf Steiner sheds light on the freedom in the death of the Philippine’s foremost national hero, Jose Rizal. This paper is an inquiry into the freedom involved in the death of Jose Rizal in Bagumbayan.
