Using Systems Thinking Model as an Instructional Development Tool in Analyzing Students Performance in the CPA Board Examinations

Abstract:

This action research paper is an attempt to converge the philosophy of instructional development into change framework using a systems thinking model. It starts with the definition and an overview of the history of instructional development, followed by a discussion of general system theory, and of the components of systems approach together with its integration to instructional development. Towards the latter part of this paper, an application of a systems thinking model as a tool in solving an actual learning problem found in an instructional development environment is presented.
