Ronaldo C. Maaño | Roselyn A. Maaño

Abstract:

This research intended to develop an automated rainfall monitoring system. Specifically, the study aimed to design the main circuit board with appropriate discrete electronic components and hardware modules and peripherals. The study is a research and development type which made use of rapid prototyping technique for the design and development of the system. Tools for development like printed circuit board, Visual Basic and GSM module were utilized to fabricate the model of the system. The system was tested and evaluated by a group of respondents in terms of functionality, reliability, usability and efficiency. The result of evaluation yielded a rating corresponding to the respondent‘s positive agreement on the capability of the system. The system is an aid for weather monitoring and it can provide significant solutions to weather monitoring problems.
