The review investigates the use of educational multimedia programs in specific subject areas or courses. The review covers twenty-three theses and dissertations done in different Education graduate schools in Manila during the period 1976-1999. The review examines the studies' research designs, methods, and results about the use of educational multimedia programs in specific subject areas or courses. The review shows that majority of the theses and dissertations manifest a behaviorist orientation in the use of multimedia technologies. The author discusses the implications of this finding and suggests directions for further research.
