This study focused on the reintegration initiatives of the overseas Filipino workers (OFW) mechanical engineers and management professionals to the Philippine mainstream in exploring opportunities as a fnal option for retirees. Two major independent variables were being revisited and assessed such as economic readiness, and the social and psychological factors affecting the selected OFWs in their return to the mainstream. Te method used in this study is descriptive quantitative research using a survey questionnaire in three parts, e.g., demographic profiles, economic readiness, and the social and psychological factors affecting the selected two groups of respondents composed of mechanical engineers and management professionals. On the first hand, results from the study revealed that mechanical engineers perceived the economic readiness as strength with little things to do. The same group claimed that the social and psychological factors were perceived as strength with something to do in facing the challenges in their future reintegration. On the other hand, the management professional’s perceptions in terms of economic readiness and the social and psychological factors show a strength and something has to be done. It is strongly suggested that those mechanical engineers and management professionals who will soon retire have to prepare combined feasibility study and business plan to be ready for any eventualities. Taking up master’s and Ph.D. degrees can make mechanical engineers and management professionals different from any college degrees and globally competitive. It is recommended that another research on reintegration has to be conducted with a focus on business application
