Abstract:

Reciprocity is an informal economic system where goods and labor may be exchanged. General reciprocity is virtually uninhibited sharing and giving. It occurs when people share goods and labor without expecting anything in return (Keohane l986). What maintains this reciprocal relations is the sense of satisfaction the giver feels and the sense of closeness that is fostered. The result is a maximum amount of trust and a minimum amount of social distance (Wikipedia, 2007).
