Perception and Attitudes on Customer Behavior of Farfalla Pasta Bar Waiters According to Gender

Von Dickson Estrada | Maria Kathrina Lauang | Shamgar Jamero

Abstract:

The primary purpose of the study was to investigate if the customers’ behaviour affects the attitude of food establishment waiters. It aimed to determine if there is a significant difference on the waiters’ attitude towards customers when grouped according to gender. The respondents of the study involved five female and five male waiters of the said bar who were present during the survey. Purposive sampling was used in obtaining the data from the participants and this investigation has incorporated the descriptive research type of data. Results have shown that male waiters have a higher mean score compare to female waiters which means that male waiters are more likely to respond to customers’ behaviour. This includes their courtesy to customers, guiding the customers to their seats and their ability to appease the customers when they get irritated.
