Tourist’s Level of Perception on the Safety and Security of Davao City

Abstract:

This research was conducted to identify tourists’ perception on the safety and security of Davao City as evaluated in terms of the peace and order, crime rate, and tourists’ level of perception on the safety and security of Davao City. One hundred respondents were chosen and the results were carefully analyses and computed using mean, standard deviation, frequency, percentage distribution, and t-test. The result showed that there is a significant relationship on tourist level of perception on the safety and security of Davao City in terms of peace and order, crime rate. However, there is no significant difference on the tourist level of perception when grouped according to sex and type of tourist. Thus, a conclusion has been drawn that the local government of Davao City shall continue maintaining the safety and security of the place to have a continuous good perception by the tourist.
