A Business Development Plan for The Establishment of Filipino International School Overseas in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Abstract:

Overseas Filipinos are widely dispersed worldwide and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of the countries which is home to about a million Filipinos. Al Ain is one of the cities of the capital Abu Dhabi, the largest of the UAE’s seven member emirates where many Filipinos work. Recognizing the increase of migrant Filipino workers and Filipino families in Al Ain with no Filipino school found in the city, there is a need to establish a Filipino school in Al Ain following the Philippine curriculum. This study aims to produce a business development plan for the establishment of Filipino International School overseas in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE. A descriptive-correlational research design is used in this study. Survey technique and interview method are used in gathering data from the respondents selected respondents which are determined through a random sampling technique. Research findings show that there is an immense necessity of establishing a sustainable Filipino school in Al Ain. The quality operational guidelines that impact the would-be student’s competencies at par with international standards revealed significant insights to Filipino families and entrepreneurs in the field of education promoting Filipino quality educational system. Further research is recommended on the areas where a significant relationship is measured between their profile of the respondents and their perceptions of a quality school. The Operational Management Design and Business Plan are highly recommended in furtherance of this study.
