The Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic Among Restaurants in Municipalities of Buenavista, Nasipit, and Carmen

Abstract:

Restaurant ongoing activities serve their customers in the food, and they may even provide entertainment, community lodging, and other services. The study aimed to identify the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic among Restaurants in Buenavista, Nasipit, and Carmen. The researchers used a descriptive design in conducting the study. The study was conducted in three areas: Buenavista, Nasipit, Carmen, and the selected fully operated during this pandemic and a family-style dining restaurant. The respondents are the owners and employees. The results show the overall average weighted mean on the impact of Covid-19 among Restaurants in Municipalities of Buenavista, Nasipit, and Carmen. The owners’ and employees’ response is Agree means the respondents sometimes practice in the area stated. The chi-square test result indicates a significant difference in the impact of Covid-19 among Restaurants in Municipalities of Buenavista, Nasipit, and Carmen as to the number of workers, salary, dine-in capacity, number of days in duties, and health and safety. It was recommended that the owner increase the on-site dining with an indoor seating capacity to allow tables to have space at least 6 feet apart to maintain social distancing and avoid mass crowding as per the Inter-Agency Task Force implementation for health and safety protocol.
