Organizational Development (OD), as defined in Learning to Change, Learning for Change: A Guidebook for Organizational Development for NGOs, has the over-all aim of organizational effectiveness. As an organization strengthen itself amid turbulence and complexity, it becomes more effective, sustainable, and stable yet adaptive. However, OD is not just an instant remedy for it requires holistic, comprehensive, and integrated manner of perspectives and approaches. The move to empower an organization needs deep and proper understanding of its capacity – more than just the parts but the recognition of the parts’ interactions and relationships, and eventually its totality.
