Erika May B. Rapalesc | Danilo L. Mejica

Abstract:

This study investigated the online classroom management efficiency and student stress reduction strategies of high school teachers during the pandemic time. This research study used a correlational research design with Grade 9 students who evaluated their teacher. They were identified using universal sampling. In gathering data for classroom management efficiency, the researcher used the Classroom Management Fundamentals Questionnaire adapted from Kizlik (2009) with some revisions to fit the Filipino culture. On the other hand, for students’ stress reduction strategy, the researcher used a researchermade questionnaire based on Kennette and Daigle’s (2008) intervention to reduce students’ stress. Ethical considerations were observed in data collection, which was subjected to statistical tools that were used to analyze the data gathered from the respondents. For the overall level of classroom management efficiency of high school teachers during the pandemic time, the overall mean has a descriptive level of high which means that the online classroom management efficiency of high school teachers during the pandemic time is effective. The overall level of student stress reduction strategies of high school teachers during the pandemic time is described as high. This implies that teachers can manage the challenges they encounter during this time of the pandemic. The results show that there is a significant high relationship between classroom management efficiency and student stress reduction strategies of high school teachers during the pandemic time.
