The expediency of conducting a feasibility study in a program is newly offered is to know its viability and its
importance in meeting the needs of society. This is a feasibility study for the newly offered program which is
the Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Science of the College of Education at Cebu Technological
University – Moalboal Campus. The aimed to identify the different schools that will serve as the feeder of the
college in terms of its students, to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the program, and lastly, to know
how viable and sustainable it is in addressing the demands of the society. The study employed a descriptive
method in analyzing the quantitative data from the checklist instrument. Simple Descriptive qualitative
analysis was also used in order to surface the insights and perceptions of the participants in offering this

Participants also identified their insights and perceptions regarding the course attractiveness, course
instruction, employability, and viability. This study also ascertained the different factors affecting the offering
of this new program by conducting the Strength, Weakness, Threat, and Opportunity (SWOT) Analysis. The
Demand and Supply of BSED – Science graduates were identified. Conclusively, this course is feasible. Thus,
a recommendation of conducting a tracer’s study may be instituted after 3 batches of graduates to know how
effective it is in answering the demands of society
