Development of a Web-based Food Ordering System

Abstract:

The Food Ordering System, designed in a digital layout, features an efficient, easy-to-use interface enhancing user engagement. Considering the relentless activity and scarce eating time today, the food ordering system provides help for online food purchases. Both the proprietor and client of the eatery are facing specific difficulties. Before the introduction of this food ordering system, the manual submission process preceded the food ordering system. Employees at the restaurant use a pen and a calculator to record and calculate the total volume of orders. The goal of the food ordering system is to identify current food ordering problems, create an ordering system for food, and evaluate the comprehensive system. Development of the food ordering system utilized a method focused on objects, encompassing use case diagrams, sequence diagrams, and activity diagrams. The creation of the food ordering system is committed to following the flexible model. It is planned to generate a Gantt diagram to chronicle the project's timeline. This recommended system can be used by both employees and customers of the restaurant. The owner and the staff can choose to purchase the customer through either a website or directly at the eatery. Clients can opt to order online through the system, opting for either delivery or self-collection. Furthermore, the owner is empowered to manage the customer's order and menu. The newly suggested system aims to improve the restaurant's efficiency in handling customer food orders and assist in a more structured management style of the restaurant.
