Abstract:

The academic success of medical master's students is influenced by a variety of psychological, social, and environmental factors. Among these, academic motivation, social support, and self-efficacy are considered critical determinants of students' learning behaviors and academic outcomes. This paper aimed to explore the influence of Academic Motivation, social support and self-efficacy on the academic achievement of medical master students, with Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Through empirical research, questionnaire data from medical master students were collected and analyzed, the relationship between these factors was explored, and corresponding educational management countermeasures were proposed. The findings revealed that Academic Motivation is an essential factor affecting students' academic achievement. Both intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation have a significant impact on students' learning behavior and grades. Intrinsic motivation is mainly related to students' interest in medical knowledge and expectations for career development. In contrast, extrinsic motivation is closely related to external factors such as obtaining a degree and social recognition. To improve students' Academic Motivation, educational administrators need to take various measures to stimulate students' intrinsic motivation and extrinsic incentives. As social support plays a vital role in students' learning process, support from teachers, peers and families can enhance students' self-confidence and Academic Motivation, especially in the senior stage, when students face greater academic and employment pressure, so effective social support is particularly important. The study also showed that there is a significant positive correlation between academic self-efficacy and academic support. Improving academic support can enhance students' self-efficacy, thereby further promoting Academic Motivation. The results of this study provide a theoretical basis and practical guidance for the educational management of medical master's students. Targeted stimulation of Academic Motivation, social support enhancement, and self-efficacy improvement will help improve students' learning outcomes and overall academic achievement. This article urges educational administrators to pay attention to gender and grade differences and develop strategies for supporting every student in the best way possible in dealing with learning challenges and achieving comprehensive personal and professional development.
