A Comparative Analysis Between the Personal Financial Literary and management Practices of Working Student in De La Salle Araneta University

Abstract:

The study aims to investigate the financial literacy and financial management practices of working students in De La Salle Araneta University and if both factors have a significant relationship with each other. Forty (40) students participated in the study. A descriptive research method was used in this study, and a purposive sampling was used for collecting and analyzing respondents. This study also assessed the age, gender, monthly income, civil status, and the number of family members of the respondents and to identify if there is a significance difference in the assessed financial literacy scores when the profile of the respondents is considered. Findings show that the respondents have an above average financial literacy score mean. Moreover, there were no significant differences between the financial literacy scores and the profile of the respondents. Findings also present that there was no significant relationship between financial literacy and financial management practices.
