Wang Xinping

Discipline: social policy

Abstract:

With the development and progress of society, teachers in colleges and universities are an important force for knowledge transmission, academic research and personnel training, and play a supporting role in the basic development of colleges and universities. However, the unique environment of higher education institutions also determines the scope of their professional growth, and the challenges they face are increasingly becoming prominent issues and research hotspot in the field of educational management. This study proposed measures for continuous improvement of the challenges faced by teachers in social support, career development and job engagement. In this study, a descriptive research design was used to analyze the collected data, and a modified questionnaire was employed as the main data collection tool. The participants were mainly 425 full-time teachers from Chinese universities. Based on literature and theories related to teacher development, SPSS and AMOS software were used to analyze the data using descriptive and correlation methods to find out the relationship with social support, career development and job engagement. The research results show that among the three aspects of social support, leadership support is the most critical dimension, which significantly affects teachers' work involvement and career development. Compensation development is the cornerstone of an individual's career development and quality of life, and is the most critical of the four aspects of career development. Vitality, on the other hand, is the most important of the three dimensions of work engagement. Therefore, this study proposes a comprehensive plan to provide further approaches and suggestions for educational development.
