Abstract:

This study explored the relationship between organizational culture, workplace spirituality, and job performance among faculty members and department heads of Lyceum of the Philippines University–Batangas during the New Normal brought about by COVID-19. With 260 respondents from ten colleges during the 1st semester of SY 2021–2022, the study assessed their profiles (age, sex, educational attainment, and length of service) and examined organizational culture (involvement, consistency, adaptability, mission), workplace spirituality (meaningful work, shared feelings, value alignment), and job performance (task, contextual, counterproductive). Most respondents were female, aged 31–40, with a Master’s degree and over 10 years of service. Findings showed that organizational culture remained anchored on clear goals, adaptability, and teamwork. Workplace spirituality was tied to meaningful work and community impact, while job performance was enhanced by a supportive institutional environment. Notably, those with 1–5 years of service rated organizational culture higher, and results showed a strong association among the three variables—organizational culture, workplace spirituality, and job performance. Based on these findings, a Faculty Development Plan was proposed to enhance these dimensions in the context of the New Normal.
