Discipline: Education

Abstract:

Effective time management plays a vital role in enhancing teacher effectiveness, particularly in higher education, where faculty members must balance multiple responsibilities such as teaching, research, and administrative duties. Despite its significance, many educators face challenges in managing their time efficiently, which can impact instructional quality, student engagement, and professional development. Understanding the relationship between time management practices and teacher effectiveness is crucial for optimizing teaching performance and overall educational outcomes. This study investigated how time management influences teacher effectiveness among faculty members at A Universityof Finance and Economics. Specifically, it examines key dimensions of time management, including time awareness, task prioritization, planning strategies, productivity, competence, and self-regulation. A descriptivecorrelational research design is employed to assess the extent to which these time management factors correlate with teacher effectiveness across critical domains such as classroom management, instructional strategies, student engagement, and professional growth. The findings indicate a significant positive correlation between time management competence and teacher effectiveness. While faculty members actively employ structured time management strategies, there remains room for improvement in areas such as task prioritization, self-regulation, and adaptability to instructional demands. The study highlights the necessity of structured training programs aimed at enhancing educators' time management skills. To address these challenges, the study recommends integrating time management workshops into faculty development programs and leveraging digital tools to support scheduling and instructional planning. By refining time management strategies, educators can improve classroom efficiency, optimize lesson delivery, and foster higher student engagement, ultimately contributing to overall educational quality and institutional success.
