Abstract:
This study explores the multifaceted challenges encountered by individuals diagnosed with
dengue fever, focusing on the interplay of economic factors, healthcare access, and the emotional
impacts of illness. Through qualitative interviews with selected participants, the research came
up with critical themes related to financial struggles, gaps in medical resources, and the significant
role of community and family support in recovery. Findings reveal that economic hardships
significantly hinder access to necessary medical care, emphasizing the urgent need for
comprehensive health insurance systems and robust community support structures. Additionally,
participants reported emotional distress, highlighting the importance of integrating psychological
support within healthcare services. The study concludes by providing insights into the resilience
of individuals and communities, underscoring the importance of continuous health education and
strengthened community engagement in fostering effective preventive measures.
Recommendations are made for policymakers and healthcare administrators to enhance resource
allocation, develop supportive healthcare programs, and promote health literacy, ultimately
aiming to improve outcomes for dengue patients and strengthen community resilience in facing
future health challenges.
