The Identity Crisis of Adolf Hitler

Jasmin E. Acuña

Discipline: History

Abstract:

Adolf Hitler was the man responsible for the third Reich, ruled it ruthlessly often with uncommon shrewdness, led it to dizzy heights, and to such a sorry end. He was a person of evil genius.

We find important lessons in his life brought about by inconsistent child rearing practices of mother and father – the caring, nurturing, self-effacing mother and the dominant, demanding, physically abusive father. This reminds us of the many homes in which the authoritarian father and the protective, submissive mother still exist. Finally, this study reminds that what we do as parents becomes the model for our children later.
