Truth Telling, Forgiveness, Healing: Keys to Gender Mainstreaming in the Judiciary

Abstract:

This study uses qualitative research design through

collective case study and feminist approaches. It reveals

that the culture of patriarchy appears to be intertwined

with the subculture of corruption and impunity. Truth telling through

the circles of truth (COT) may pave the way to forgiveness and to

commitment for change of those involved in the administration of

justice. A counter culture upholding gender equity and equality can

take place.
