Three Readings of One Poem: Language and Reality in Lacaba's "In Memoriam"

Abstract:

In its November 9, 1983 issue, WHO magazine published a poem by Jose F. Lacaba. It must have been the first poem published in WHO that I had ever bothered to read, or perhaps I had read others before it but forgot them the minute I turned the page. Besides, I was not buying WHO so I could read the occasional poems they featured.
