Abstract:

A Game Based Learning is a method in which the students learn from a subject through playing a game associating the elements of the said subject. The main purpose of this study is for the proponents to identify the effects of such method to the teacher in the subject Hardware and Software Technology (CHST), a subject that tackles certain aspects of a computer’s hardware and software. In the testing phase of the research, the proponents applied the game based method. Ten students who played the game were divided into two groups. The first group used the game based method, while the other group used the traditional method of learning. Statistical data showed that the game based method proved to be of help learning lessons in CHST.
