Abstract:

The focus of the study was to test bandwidth fluctuation in a VoIP calls and determine the audio codec used in a call, depending on the bandwidth selected by the user and optimizing the use of such codec to achieve a tolerable quality. Furthermore, the study aimed to ensure higher bandwidth used in the network. The software developed by the proponents has the capability to prioritize the call that is established. It has been found that other applications that require bandwidth usage should be moderated so that the call can have enough bandwidth in order to transmit over the Internet.
