Discipline: Marketing

The study intended to test the effectiveness of using Practice Sets in Marketing 123 as a supplementary instructional material in teaching. It is a fact that reinforcement administered after every topic presented are necessary in the students’ learning in any given area of endeavor. The conventional teaching methods never cease in any classroom setting and the teacher never ends her search for other materials that will support the knowledge derived by the students. Hence, the Practice Set was designed to meet this particular need. To better appreciate its essence, this research study was conducted to recognize its effectiveness as a tool of learning.

The descriptive-experimental research had 80 respondents purposively selected to represent the experimental group who utilized conventional teaching methods with Practice Set and the control group who utilized the same method without a Practice Set. This was done through the administration or pretest and posttest for both groups to determine their means, gain scores and compute the Z-values at 0.05 significance level.
