Abstract:

This paper is about the democracy project in the Philippines and how women participated in this kind of political project. The main assumption of this research is, upon looking at the narratives of women as actors from different spheres of the political system in the Philippines- whether formal (i.e., government) or informal, it is actually the women from the social movement who have been prominent in advancing women’s human rights.
