Letran Calamba’s Student Research Program (SRP) Revisited*

Roberto DV Revilla

Discipline: Social Science, Management

Abstract:

This case study addressed the question: “How is research management carried out in Letran Calamba as far as its Student Research Program (SRP) is concerned?” Using qualitative and quantitative lenses, the study assessed the program in the light of “management continuum.” Thorough analysis led to a host of recommendations: First, a periodic check should be done to look into the research operation of SRP across time; Second, future studies can dwell on the other half of R&DD: IRP; Third, a centralized SRP is two-pronged; and Fourth, a perfect balance between a controlled (centralized) and a flexible (decentralized) system could be a feasible option.
