The PASCHR Journal

The fifth conference of the South and Southeast Asian Association for the Study of Culture and Religion (SSEASR) held at the University of Santo Tomas from May 16-19, 2013 with the theme “Healing, Belief Systems, Cultures, and Religions of South and Southeast Asia” led to the idea of establishing a local and national version of the regional association of the SSEASR, with the goal of contributing to the advancement and deepening of Philippine studies on culture and religion by using multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches. Such was a dream of the SSEASR President, Dr. Amarjiva Lochan, which was then supported by the Filipino participants present during the conference. This meeting of minds and intentions soon led to the formation of a small working group whose willing members formed an ad hoc committee for the legal establishment of what came out to be known as the Philippine Association for the Study of Culture, History, and Religion (PASCHR). The association was then registered as a legalprofessional and academic group at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the Philippines on September 9, 2013. The following founding members closely coordinated with Dr. Lochan in establishing the group: Dr. Esmeralda Sanchez of the University of Santo Tomas; Albert B. Banico of the San Sebastian College; Delilah R. Labajo of San Carlos University; and Dr. Grace Odal-Devora of the University of the Philippines-Manila. These educators were engaged in research on Philippine Studies. Later on, the following people became part of the association’s founding members: Dr. Arvin D. Eballo of the University of Santo Tomas; Beejay Sebastian of the Holy Angel University; Michael Raymond Pangilinan, an independent researcher from Angeles City, Pampanga; and Mayor Arnel F. Mendoza, Ph.D., the local head of the municipality of Bustos, Bulacan who supported the endeavors and ideals of the new association.

Asian Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Research

The Asian Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Research (AJTHR) is an international refereed journal dedicated to the advancement of knowledge frontiers and improvement of practice in tourism and hospitality management. The journal publishes full-length articles, research notes, and case studies from an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspective. Articles submitted by both academic and practitioners are reviewed anonymously by at least two members of the international editorial board.

It is published biannually in March and September by Philippine E-Journals, Quezon City, Philippines. All articles are published in English.

Augustinian

Augustinian is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal of the University of San Agustin. It publishes research papers across all academic disciplines in the humanities, social sciences, business and education. It aims to bridge diverse communities of the humanities, social sciences, business and education, and provide a platform for academic exchange for scholars both within and outside the Philippines. The journal appears annually and accepts submissions on a rolling basis throughout the year. Each submission is evaluated by at least one member of the editorial board before it gets reviewed by at least two reviewers using a single-blind method, that is, the identity of the reviewer is anonymous, but the author's name and affiliation are on the paper. Given the multidisciplinary nature of the journal, prospective contributors may use their own format and referencing style.

LUMINA

LUMINA (formerly KINAADMAN) is a refereed, interdisciplinary, research and scholarly journal of Holy Name University, Tagbilaran City, published every October and March of each year by the HNU Publication Office. It publishes articles from HNU academic community, alumni, and other scholars from the Philippines and other countries throughout the globe. Research and scholarly papers in the basic and applied sciences, viz.: social, theological, philosophical, anthropological, natural and applied sciences, among others, and book reviews are accepted in this journal. LUMINA is a Latin word which means "light" or "illumination" - one which is indispensably needed by a person who is searching for something in a research, be it applied or pure. WVSU Research Journal

The WVSU Research Journal is a scientific publication of the University Research and Development Center (URDC), West Visayas State University, Iloilo City, Philippines devoted to the publication of original papers. It is a peer-reviewed semi-annual journal that publishes reports of original researches in the area of specialization in education, nursing, arts and sciences, agriculture, forestry, communication and hospitality services, technology and medical field. The Social Sciences and Development Review Journal (SSDR) is an open-access, and online journal of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Research and Publications Office, Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, Planning, and Development, publishing annually peer-reviewed articles on the social sciences and development, preferably those with focus on the Asia-Pacific context. This is indexed by AGPCI until 2024, and CHED-recognized as well under Category B of CHED-Journal Incubation Program (2019). It promotes critical, multidisciplinary, and constructive discourses in the social sciences and their allied disciplines. Articles that aim to synthesize normative disciplines such as religious studies, theology, or philosophy with the social sciences are also accepted.

Asia Pacific Journal of Allied Health Sciences

The Asia Pacific Journal of Allied Health Sciences (APJAHS) is the official research journal of the College of Nursing, College of Dentistry, and College of Allied Medical Professions. It is published biannually by the Center for Research and Innovation (CRIN) in cooperation with the Lyceum of the Philippines University – Batangas as its publisher. The journal aims to provide a platform for scholars, educators, and practitioners in health education and sciences to reach a wider audience through the publication of both qualitative and quantitative research. Scientific Augustinian, the science and technology research journal of the University of San Agustin (USA), aims to facilitate the dissemination of research findings and advancement of knowledge in the natural sciences, allied medical fields and engineering. PAMISULU: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Theology and Philosophy

Pamisulu comes from the Kapampangan word sulu meaning “light” (in the sense of a “bonfire” or a “torch”) and the prefix “pami-” which means “sharing” or “being together.” The word “pamisulu” suggests the dual meaning of sharing around the light of fire and sharing the very fire itself. The journal Pamisulu seeks to be an avenue for a communion of ideas in theology and philosophy. It seeks to embody the mutual interaction of a “searching faith” and an “open reason.” 

Pamisulu is a refereed, print, and open access journal published bi-annually by the Graduate School of Theology and the Faculty of Philosophy of the Mother of Good Counsel Seminary, San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines.

Asia-Pacific Social Science Review

The Asia-Pacific Social Science Review (APSSR) is an internationally refereed journal published biannually (June and December) by De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines. It aims to be a leading venue for authors seeking to share their data and perspectives on compelling and emerging topics in the social sciences with, and to create an impact, on the region’s communities of academics, researchers, students, civil society, policy makers, and development specialists, among others. Topics related to or with implications for the region that are pursued employing sound methodologies and comparative, and inter, multi, and transdisciplinary approaches are of particular interest. Notre Dame Journal

The Notre Dame University is the owner and publisher of the Notre Dame Journal, and printed by the Notre Dame Press, located at Notre Dame Avenue, Cotabato City. The ND Journal is published annually and issued in the month of June. The Notre Dame Journal has been focusing on Mindanao Studies, particularly on the Southwestern Philippines. The articles published are in the areas of: governance in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM); peace and development; and other studies that clarify issues on Moro justice system, conflict, ancestral domain, gender and development, and the socio-cultural and political life of the Moro and indigenous peoples in Mindanao. The recent articles included in the publication of the Notre Dame Journal are written by graduate students in peace and development program of the University, which cover a wide array of issues from conflict to peace building in Mindanao. These articles provide information on the issues affecting the socio-economic, political, peace and development in the Muslim region. The peace and development theories are used to explain the phenomenon of conflict, reconstruction, and rehabilitation adopted by the government and non-government interventionists in affected regions in Mindanao.

IMCC Journal of Science

IMCC Journal of Science (Abbreviation: IMCC J Sci) is the official peer-reviewed journal of Iligan Medical Center College, Iligan City, Lanao del Norte, Philippines.
